Crab Recipe Crab Dip


I was looking around for a crab recipes among the crab recipes i find out there on the internet and this one picked my curiosity because it had the word dip in it. A crab recipe with the word dip in it, it sounds yummy. I've alway loved the taste of crab and i grew up loving eating sea foods crab in particular, but i also have a taste for tilapia and wild prawns. I actually was bitten by a crab when i was young, i went with my uncle catching crabs and we caught thyem live and my uncle tied the crab and handed it to me and i decided to play with the crab but then it got me by the finger. It was an ecperience i will never forget but that won't deter me from eating crabs. I love crabs.

I have seen other crab recipes from baking crabs, marinating crabs, steaming them crabs, and other fancy crab recipes like cocktails and another one that, on first sight made me laugh, Baked "King Crab Balls", i didn't know crabs have balls. haha!

Without further ado, let me present you with the Crab Dip recipe, and maybe post that BAked King Crab Balls as well.

Crab Recipe Crab Dip

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

11 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 small onion, finely chopped

5 tablespoons mayonnaise

2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked

1/8 teaspoon garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

1 (1 pound) loaf round, crusty Italian bread


DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a medium bowl, combine the cream cheese, onion, mayonnaise, crabmeat, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread mixture into a 1 quart baking dish.

Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated oven. While the dip is baking, cut a circle in the top of the bread, and scoop out the inside to create a bread bowl. Tear the removed bread into pieces for dipping.

Remove baked crab dip from the oven, and stir well. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed out loaf. Place bread bowl and chunks of bread on a medium baking sheet, and bake for an additional 10 minutes. Serve hot.
