Is Weight Training Without A Workout Companion The Key To Muscle BuildingBodybuilding is a hobby that demands substantial weight lifting
discipline and dedication, and many feel that having a companion with
similar goals can increase mental focus and enhance the effectiveness
of each weight training workout. This theory is true for many, but
there are also some who actually find that solo weight lifting workouts
provide an environment for superior dedication and consistency when
compared with relying upon a weight training workout partner.
Surprisingly to many, there are many who feel that weight lifting
partners are detrimental to long term results, and are able to achieve
far better fat reduction and muscle gain progress alone, without the
benefit of a weight lifting companion.Despite certain weight
lifters experiencing a desire to train with the help of a friend,
locating an individual who has a comparable schedule and who adopts a
desire to attend on the agreed upon time each week can prove difficult.
Even when finding a prospective candidate, we all seem to experience
schedule conflicts regardless of how well organized we may be, and two
seemingly synchronized weight lifters are likely to find themselves at
odds. In addition, many weight lifters have their own individual weight
lifting time preference, with some feeling more energized in the
morning hours, prior to starting their day, and others feeling far more
capable of pursuing an intense weight training session during later
hours. This disparity naturally makes finding another bodybuilder with
an identical mindset cumbersome. In addition to the likelihood
of scheduling conflicts, a set of similar goals is required, meaning
that a bodybuilder who wishes to achieve substantial muscle growth
cannot comfortably workout with one who seeks tone and fat loss, as the
two will most likely perform conflicting types of workouts. Although
both could train together, because their workouts may significantly
differ, motivating each other without wasting a large amount of time
switching between various exercises becomes difficult, and soon, the
two will find that they experience far more focus and efficiency when
training without a partner.Even when both weight lifters have
the exact same fat loss and muscle building goals, the amount of weight
used in workouts will likely differ, sometimes dramatically, and the
two weight lifting partners will feel as if they are switching free
weights on the bars more often than they are actually training for
muscle growth, leading to wasted time and effort. Weight lifting
workouts can become extremely grueling when distractions begin to
monopolize gym time, and making dramatic workout weight changes each
set due to different strength levels is a quick way for any bodybuilder
to become disgruntled with the time required to complete each weight
training session.Another obstacle towards finding the perfect
weight lifting partner is workout pacing, as some wish to rush through
a weight training workout session seemingly at warp speed, while others
feel far more comfortable with longer rest periods. This will create a
substantial pacing conflict, and considering that intense weight
training is sufficiently difficult to endure when all environmental
variables are absolutely perfect, just imagine when a weight lifting
partner decides that he or she wants to execute a workout at a speed
which you personally despise! In such a scenario, the weight training
session will become undeniably stressful, and the two partners will try
to find a way to abandon the obligation to train together in order to
preserve sanity.Lastly, regardless of how dedicated two workout
partners may be towards achieving muscle gain or fat reduction, the
chances are astronomically high that idle chatter will infiltrate
weight training sets, extending rest time, and the workout itself, far
beyond reasonable levels. Amazingly, two friends can discuss a subject
between sets and allow a time period that seemingly feels immaterial to
reach several minutes, and the lengthy workout sessions that result are
known for draining all motivation and desire to continue training.I
personally am one who has always performed my weight training workout
sessions alone, and have found this to be the most potent method, but
during the few times I have trained together with either one partner or
a group, I cannot recall any weight lifter ever returning to train with
me again, and those particular workout sessions with partners were, for
me, significantly less intense than my normal weight training workouts,
when I am training alone, with no distractions, as quickly or slowly as
I choose, with the music I enjoy, and without needless conversations
that extend workout length beyond reasonable levels.
